The primary use of the ESF#3 Generator Requirements APP is for federal, state and local emergency managers to collect electrical requirements information on critical facilities AND for emergency responders to record installation and quality assurance information during events.

The ASSESSMENT feature of the app is used for recording facility information to assist with the selection of a generator for temporary emergency power. It is typically used for preplanning and disaster response.

The INSTALLATION feature of the app is used for recording the significant milestones in the dispatching and installation of generators.

The QUALITY ASSURANCE feature of the app is used to record information when the QA inspector visits the generator.

The LOGISTICS feature of the app is used to receive and deploy generators.

Facility assessments can be conducted when either online or offline. Offline data is stored and then later uploaded to the server when the device is online.

A registration code is required and can be requested from within the APP. Please provide your name, organization, role in the emergency response and e-mail address and you will be sent the registration code within a day, usually less. There is no cost for the registration code. The App does not include any advertisements, cookies or track your use or other websites visited. The routing function utilizes Google Maps and some data may be shared to enable functionality when generating routes to facilities.

This APP uses the GPS component in your device to record the location of the facility entrance and the generator location. It uses your camera to take photos of the generator placement location and the connection point. Photos are uploaded to the facility report and you can e-mail them. The APP also has a direct dial feature which allows you to call the facility POC while enroute.

If used with a smartphone, the app can directly call your facility POC.
